What are your top 5 video game songs?

Great question! I didn’t answer this right away because I had to think quite a bit before I answered. Here’s the shortlist:

Sanctuary/Temple of Light/Marcus Memorial (recurring Fable theme) - This is one of my favorite themes from the Fable series, and I love the unique ways it appears throughout.
Water Ruins (Jet Force Gemini) - Of all the water level themes I have played this is possibly my favorite. I just get goosebumps from the intervals punctuated with the piano.
Compass (Red Dead Redemption) - This is not only my favorite gaming track of all time, but also one of my favorite songs ever. Beautiful.
Staff Roll (Castlevania 64) - Call me crazy, but I adored this game and its music. Tied for first is the opening title theme, which I will also probably post soon because I love it so much. It was the first time I had ever heard actual instrumentation used in gaming music.
The Long Walk (Mass Effect 2) - Love it so much I accidentally posted it twice to Gamermusic.

Honorable mentions: Ocarina Boogie remix because it rocks, Ocarina of Time’s Forest Temple Theme, Peace of Akatosh from Oblivion, Link’s Awakening’s Tal Tal Heights and DKC’s Life in the Mines. I know I cheated and named more than five, but you can’t just make a gaming music enthusiast choose!
